![]() I just don't understand how these CPUs are getting rave reviews, when I am now on three of them and two motherboards and can't play an old game like CSGO. In Valorant, they are turboing to around 4.4Ghz. Half of the other cores are at like 800mhz. In CSGO, the CPU doesn't turbo past 2.2Ghz, and it's only like one core at a time. So then I downloaded some tools to check some things. I downloaded CSGO, and it won't go above 150 FPS consistently. Good news, I was getting 600FPS in Valorant. In the meantime, I got a 5800x to see if that would be any better. So I went back and forth with AMD for an RMA and they approved it. At this point, I have enough parts to build two PCs (which I did for my guests). Nothing changed, same motherboard, same everything. So then I bought a 3600 to test out everything, and that ran perfectly fine and I was getting almost double the FPS than the 5600x. I then turned off performance boost of any kind and manually overclocked to 4.4Ghz and it was stable and my FPS was OK. I messed with all the settings I could think of. So then I bought a Gigabyte X570i motherboard, and it still did it. So then I swapped out the GPU with a known good GPU, still did it. It wasn't temperature-related, never went near 70c. Went to go play CS:GO, and it would black screen after two minutes. So I ordered a B550 Gigabyte motherboard and all the stuff I needed to go with it. Long story: I decided to build a new computer once I got my hands on a 5600X. I have tried all of the BIOS versions as well. I have another brand motherboard coming from ASROCK instead of Gigabyte. I have formatted, uninstalled, reinstalled, high and low settings, etc. I have been through three CPUs, two motherboards, and two RAM kits. If a developer openly tells me that my computer is bad, while the most powerful processors from 2020 at the link above show 25 frames, this is a deception of the buyer.TLDR: I am getting really poor FPS in CS:GO. I don't believe in this simulation, it doesn't look complicated. Any IT products come to such a deplorable look if do not refactor the code sometimes. And new IT engeners carry out only their "new" tasks by carefully introducing technologies. I do not know how the code works in this game, but I am sure that this is an ancient legacy that only the creators of the engine know how it works. It is not normal with game of 2018 require a processor from 2077 for normal work. Ryzen 5800x is not so good? Tha game graphics is 2010 - 2012 year old but its okay. My system is older and makes good fleet fights with a lot of stations.when you realize that your hardware is not so good as expected is inappropriate. It's funny to see in 2021 how a developer justifies himself and says to the user "everything is fine with us, it's just that there are no processors that can pull our super C ++ code" shame on you.Ĭhill and play the game, no need to be rude. Why don't you write on the steam page that the game does not guarantee 60 frames even on the most expensive "game" processor in the world? How did I play X3 many years ago on a dual core processor without problems? If your main criteria for a game are that you want 60fps under all circumstances, then choosing one that includes a full game universe simulation probably isn't your best bet. This is not something that can magically be optimised away, nor is it something that can be readily distributed across a large number of processor threads. As I said in my previous reply, the entire game universe is simulated all the time, the number of ships and stations in a given location is not artificially limited at some point the framerate will drop. This isn't the sort of game where a minimum framerate can be guaranteed in all situations. So? i'm buyed your product and want to see always above 60 FPS. So there is no solution? Returning money? That is, you want to say that if, say, I build an army as I did in X3 and fly to another sector where there is also an army, it will kill my processor? This is not a bottleneck, this is a terrible optimization. Why write recommended system requirements if you don't have a processor that can satisfy the game. I do not want to offend the developers, but this is a shame and misleading people. maybe the game engine is sill X2\X3? With graphics from 2010\12. *My CPU is still the bottleneck*Ĭheck your performance against other PCs by clicking here. ![]() There are times when my framerate drops into the 40s, and I'm only playing on a 1920x1080 monitor. ![]() I've a 3070 card too, along with 32GB of fast memory and a watercooled I7 10700k. It's a vast simulation, and at times can challenge even the best hardware. There's a thread in the main forum which has three saves people can try to see how their performance compares, but I'll say now there's no PC in existence that will always give over 60 FPS with X4.
